
Carol Lynley (born Carole Ann Jones 13 February 1942 - September 3 April, 2019) was an American actress. Her most famous work is for her role in the movies Blue Denim (1959), The Poseidon Adventure (1872) and The Poseidon Adventure (1972). Lynley was raised in Manhattan by an Irish mother and New England father. After starting her career as an actor, she later became an infant model. She was nominated for the Theatre World Award for "one of the most promising stars 1956-57" for her role in The Potting Shed. Lynley began her career in film in the year 1958 by appearing in The Light in the Forest, a Disney film The Light in the Forest and was following by Holiday for Lovers (1959) and Blue Denim (1959). In 1959, she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Female Newcomer - Female. In the following year she was again nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Female Newcomer.
