Allison Janney

AllisonAllison Brooks Janney (born November 19, 1959)[2] is an American actress. In a career spanning more than three decades, she has become recognized for her work in multiple genres of screen and on stage. Janney was awarded various awards such as an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, A Golden Globe Award, and seven Primetime Emmy Awards, in addition to receiving nominations to win Two Tony Awards. The actress was raised in Boston and was raised in Dayton, Ohio, Janney got a scholarship for studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art following the completion of her studies at Kenyon College. Janney became a television star in 1999 with the character C. J. Cregg in the role of C. J. Cregg on NBC's political drama The West Wing (2000-2006). The role earned her Four Primetime Emmy Awards for this role.
