Sofia Pernas is a Moroccan actress, born and was raised in Orange County. At the age of 5 she moved from Morocco to California. Her breakthrough came in the year 2015 when she graduated with degrees from University of California San Diego. Pernas was a popular actress who made small appearances in NCIS and Leverage prior to landing the role as Marisa on The Young and the Restless she was a well-known face on the soap opera. In 2016, after leaving soap operas her actress was offered an appearance as Catalina in Jane the Virgin. The model, proficient in four languages has appeared since in The Brave and The Green Ghost as Hannah Rivera. She also played in the Secret Society of Second Born Royals. From 2019 to 2020, she portrayed Lexi Vaziri in Blood & Treasure. Us Weekly revealed in May of 2020 that Pernas was engaged to Justin Hartley, her The Young and the Restless co-star. This romance began in May 2020 after Pernas broke up with her husband Chrishell Stause. News broke the following month in 2021 that Pernas and Hartley have recently got married in a secret ceremony.
