Sofia Pernas was born in Morocco. She came to California at age five. She grew up primarily in Orange County. She graduated in 2015 from University of California San Diego and received her first big break in acting. Pernas, who had made tiny appearances in NCIS and Leverage prior to landing the part as Marisa in The Young and the Restless she was a well-known name on the soap. The actress, who left The soap after 2016 got the part as Catalina as a regular on Jane the Virgin. The model with four language abilities has starred in the role of Hannah Rivera on The Brave since the year 2016. The Green Ghost in 2017 and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Between 2019 and 2020, Pernas portrayed Lexi Vaziri as part of Blood & Treasure. Us Weekly reported in May 2020 that Pernas was in a relationship with Justin Hartley from The Young and the Restless. The romance started after Chrishell Stause and This Is Us actress split in November 2018. News broke on May 20, 2021, in 2021 that Pernas and Hartley were recently married with a private ceremony.
