Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is a British music producer and musician and. Harry Styles was one of the original members of One Direction. In Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England, Styles is the child of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles went to the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, and with his three classmates, formed a musical group called White Eskimo. Their outstanding performances allowed them to take home their first Battle of Bands 2009. Although he has always been fascinated by music, he was also aspired to become an lawyer or physical therapist. He was employed at an area bakery on a part-time basis to help his family financially. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition in which he performed Stevie Wonder's song Is not She Lovely. For that reason his band was forced to break up. Nicole Scherzinger was the judge who suggested Harry Styles to be part the group that would later be called One Direction, along with Liam Payne Zayn malik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell was the sponsor of this group. The group was formed in the year the year 2010. The band performed songs like My Life Would Suffer Without You, by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. They were one of the candidates for the prize. The group was however placed third behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Although Harry Styles and his group did not win Cowell agreed to pay 2 million pounds to One Direction to sign with the Syco recording label.
